Then it broke and went out on line to find they have changed dramatically over the years. The reviews were horrible on them. So went in search of something better. I found this one and was intrigued. I decided to give it a try and am so glad I did. My ice cubes are clearer than with the Brita water. The taste is phenomenal! It even holds more water than a Brita pitcher which is a big plus to me as I drink a lot of water. The only negative to me is the bottom of the pitcher. It is designed to fit in the door of the refrigerator, but I prefer it on my shelf instead. Thus it is a little wobbly when I go to place it on the shelf and need to be sure to set it at an angle so it doesn't tip over. Otherwise I would have rated this a 5 hands down. Recommend this pitcher highly. I am still on my first filter after a month. I drink ice tea all day long as I work from home.
