The design is flawed. The water reservoir for filling the pitcher follows the curve of the top to the handle, so you can only fill it as high as the lowest point. The top third of the reservoir is therefore wasted space. 2. It leaks....from just about everywhere. Total waste of money. However this pitcher's design is seriously flawed. The top of the fill reservoir is angled toward the handle - so you can't fill it to the top. If you over fill the upper reservoir (even slightly), some of the runoff migrates into the hollow handle and comes out the bottom. To make things worse...this happens slowly. We wind up with a puddle on the counter or on the refrigerator shelf. The only remedy is to partially fill the upper reservoir 3 times and let the pitcher drain in the sink for a while. Too much work!
